These are the days set up currently for work days at Uwharrie.
April 20-21 August 24-25 May 4-5 September 14-15 June 22-23 October 26-27 July 27-28 November 16-17 Meet at the Hunt Club each Morning at 9 AM
FREE TO VOLUNTEERS Camping-At the Group Campsites camping is free. Showers are available at Arrowhead Campground for showers or Bathrooms. Trail Pass for the day you volunteer is free. USFS Volunteers Hat available to those whom donate time.
I would also ask you to bring a chainsaw if you own one, the forest service gets money just for us bringing a chainsaw, we don't even need to use it. This all equals $$$$ for the USFS which means we will see amenities to improver our riding areas. THANKS
PS Keep your eyes open, the PATVA may sponsor some Garbage Days where we will go and collect garbage off the trails. This will be done on a basis where we will be able to sponsor this event. I hope to be able to put some flyers out at each parking area in the enclosed cases to advertise our intentions and solicit help from other users. You will be informed as times are set up per April Meeting and USFS.

Bill, The group camp is actually farther from the trails than Arrowhead. The group site is out near the equestrian camping. There is a trail, but it is for horses ONLY. It is off the paved road if you want optimism. The site does have a bathroom(concrete port-a-potty)for use, but you may go to Arrowhead 2-3 miles up the road. This I believe does not help us out(group site),I think paying and having electric/showers/water/etc is still the way to go if you want some basic convienences. Talk to ya soon.
