LarryD, from a standpoint of taking abuse, when our club went to Tellico last year, we winched steady for two days. On Slick Rock we winched for almost 3 hours to get to the top with no winch failures. That's using the Warn and Superwinch's. Keith and Bradley used their Supers the most and never had a problem. Bout the only downside I see to the Superwinch is a cheap switch. Keith ended up switching his out and since then never had a problem. This was on Keith's Recon and we know how he used to get it stuck everywhere. I'm thinking of going to less expensive Superwinch for the new Kawi 360 and leaving the Warn intact on the Honda. Good luck with your choice.
As for tires, I'd say go with 25/26 inch Gators or Dirt Devils. I don't think you need to go as far as 27". Again, good luck. Bill

My advice would be to - 1. Wear out your stock tires first. Who wants to go ridin and never get stuck, It's money out tha window if ya ask me. Of all the aftermarket tires I've seen in action I was most impressed by the Good Year Mud Runners (non-runflat- expensive and heavy) With regards to winches I would have to say that I think the key to succesful winching is doing it right, and caring for the winch. I see almost everyone doing things that take away from the effectiveness of the winch like - trying to pull with the four wheeler at the same time you are winching ( they say this is rough on the gears) and not using a pulley/snatch block, whatever they call that thing. If they double the pulling power of your winch, then that means the winch is working half as hard to do the job - I don't think it matters how strong a winch ya got - makin its job easier is a good thing it'll last longer.

Thanks for ALL you information ! Today (May 2nd) I purchased a new 2000 lb. Super Winch (not wench) and had it installed. I also wanted one of the nice aluminium front "skid pans" which cover the winch area but it didn't ever come close to fitting, :'(so I'll just continue with the stock plastic one. Now if I can just get to ride with Randy again so I can give it a test run. ;DHe, ;DHe, ;DHe. BTW - Where is Randy I really liked the Ramsey 2500 lb. model with remote, but the price was plum discouraging. Now If I could sell my RM250 Suzuki, maybe I'd be in a position to make a decesion on alternate tires ! Again thanks to everybody for your help with trying to evaluate the many choices available reguarding ATV goodies !! 8) 8)

LarryD, I just so happen to have a buddy up the street that has a set of recap slushbuster tires he will sell real cheap!!! I'm thinking they would look good on that Zuki. And I agree - where is Randy?? Rascal only comes up for air when he wants to and then disappears. You don't recon he done hooked up with some "Wench" do you?
