;D ;D ;D WOW ! What can I say ? the 27th of January, Bright sunshine all day, temp in the 60's IF YOU DIDN"T RIDE WITH US TODAY........... Well Ya MISSED OUT ! We had 14 riders, 3 of which were NEW CLUB MEMBERS. Kenny's PO-PO had some fuel problems (water in the gas) and they finally got that resolved. Otherwise it was just near PERFECT day and a fantastic ride... It was also good to get to know the newer club members and our visitors a little better..... WELCOME again to our visitors... it was good to have Ya along and DO join us again. For the people who have not yet been to "Catfish Pond", all the comments that I heard and My opinion is "Its a great place to ride" Lots of variety, hills of all sizes and steepness, both Red and Black MUDDDDD, some rocky areas (not to be compared to UWHARRIE) Open wide trails, Tight technical trails through the trees, Creek crossings, some areas are quite scenic, (edge of the mountains, you know) The suggestion was made to have a WEEKEND ride there, where we can "overnight" and have a COOKOUT (Sat. night is STEAK night Ya know) We'll have to discuss this at a future meeting...... OBTW the February club meeting is scheduled for Tue, Feb. 6th. Come join us............ Larry Dee.....is.......HOOKEDONATVN.... ;D

To all that showed up for the ride, We Thank You, for those of you that couldn't make it, boy did you miss out. The weather was great and riding conditions were just as great. To all of our guests, We hope you will join us at our next meeting and meet a few more of the club members. There were no major problems that could'nt be taken care of. 1 PoPo with fuel problems, and 1 Grizzly with overheating problems. Hopefully both problems are resolved. The folks at Catfish Pond are really nice people, and are continually trying to improve on the place. More trails are going to be cut as time goes on. As Larry Dee said, there is a variety of terrain to ride. Lots of hills, creek crossings and even a few places to play in the creek. Most trails are set up as one way, with the main trail being 2 way traffic. They have a mudhole that looks like it will swallow most atv's, and some places on the trails that will challenge some of the bigger 4 wheelers. All in all it was and is a great place to ride. We had a good time and will be going back. John
